Concurrent comparison of severity of influenza and coronavirus disease 2019 among hospitalized patients in Hong Kong: a target trial emulation on observational health care data

Published in International Journal of Infectious Diseases, 2026

We compared outcomes among patients with coronavirus disease 2019 and influenza during the Omicron era. Coronavirus disease 2019 was associated with more severe outcomes than influenza. Co-infection had higher 30-day mortality risk compared with mono-infections.

PHPC 2010 - Health Care System & Policy

Undergraduate course, School of Public Health and Primary Care, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, 2021
